Pop musician Davido has been heartbroken and unconsolable for twelve days following the death of his son Ifeanyi, showing that it will take him a long time to forget the heinous act from his memory.

Since the tragic news of his son’s drowning in a pool at his Banana Island home last week sent the internet into a frenzy, Davido and his baby mom Chioma have remained inconsolable as they withdrew into their shell to grieve their late boy. The musician, who barely ever logs off of social media, has since avoided crowds. However, his fans are hoping that the ‘Aye’ singer will quickly recover from the sorrow and shock of his son’s unexpected death.

Davido’s Instagram pages are being swamped to this day with tributes to his deceased kid. On his social media accounts, the singer posted heartbreaking images of himself singing and lovingly playing for the late Ifeanyi. One video in particular still evokes pity and a sense of sorrow, showing Davido cradling Ifeanyi in the water just a few days before his passing.

Since the tragic tragedy, Chioma, for her part, has remained silent. However, it is hoped that Davido and his fiancée’s relationship will grow stronger as a result of Ifeanyi’s passing. In fact, the singer’s request for a G-Wagon for Chioma to comfort her caused quite a stir online a few days ago.

In honor of his late son, Davido recently revealed that his planned “Are We African Yet” (A.W.A.Y.) festival, scheduled to take place at the State Farm Arena, Georgia, Atlanta, United States on November 18, will be postponed.

Top Nigerian acts like Kizz Daniel, Wande Coal, Lojay, Pheelz, Oxlade, BNXN (also known as Buju), Focalistc, and Victony were planned to perform at the festival.

The singer’s management apologized to fans for the disappointment and pledged to make it up to them in a message posted on the festival’s Twitter account.

The statement claims that Davido wanted to spend more time with his family and loved ones at this difficult period.

The announcement read, “We have decided to postpone the A.W.A.Y Festival until November 18, 2023. This was a difficult but necessary decision. Your tickets will be honored for the 2023 event, to all ticket buyers. Please accept our sincere apologies, and we hope to see you all soon.

It was also reported that Puma, a sportswear company, had postponed the event to a later date as a result of the incident. Puma was supposed to officially debut its eagerly anticipated collection with Davido this week.
