Nyesom Wike, the executive governor of Rivers State, has debunked claims that Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party’s presidency, does not lead a good life after tasting the cuisine in the candidate’s residence.

Wike personally welcomed and praised Obi, who recently visited Port Harcourt for the Governor’s launching of a new project.

Obi had left the PDP after being humiliated, according to Wike, who didn’t hold it against him for joining the Labour Party and running for president.

The governor made comments on Obi’s way of life and said that he had been taken aback when he went to see him and discovered that he enjoyed the finer things in life, such as cuisine that wasn’t fit for poor men.

Here is Governor Wike statement :

“I enjoyed you when I came to your house in Anambra, when people see you they think that you don’t like good things, you like good things, I went to your house, I just stayed in your house and looked around and I said this man you like good things o, even the food you served us is not is not poor man’s food, even the drinks, I was surprised and I told my colleague that so this man likes all these kind of good things but when he comes outside he will be doing like someone that wants to die”.
