Detained leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra( IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is considering catching his legal platoon, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
There’s dissension within the legal platoon and Kanu is displeased with coalitions contending to represent him and IPOB.
The separatist leader is indicted of terrorism and has been in the guardianship of the Department of State Services( DSS) since June 2021.
This review can confidently report that the conflict and applicability battle is largely between Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor and Barrister Aloy Ejimakor. Kanu’s family Kingsley ‘ Kanunta ’ Kanu is siding with Ejimakor.
Before, following Ejiofor’s misreading with Bruce Fein, Kanu’s American attorney, the transnational counsel was barred from on- the- ground legal conditioning in Nigeria.
“ Some of these people are fighting for superiority, fame, and plutocrat and not that they can do the job better than what has been done while others are simply using IPoB name and Kanu to coat people who have been giving towards his cause.
“ He’s seriously upset to the point of criminating some of these people of working for financial interest and not IPOB and he’s meaning firing some of those attorneys ” a close source told the press.
lately, the Court of Appeal in Abuja struck out the terrorism charges filed against Kanu by the Nigerian government and ordered his release from the guardianship of the Department of State Service( SSS).
The Court said the IPOB leader was “extra-ordinarily renditioned ” to Nigeria and that the action was a obvious violation of the country’s repatriation convention and also a breach of his abecedarian mortal rights.
But Nigeria’s Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami, argued that the court only discharged Kanu and didn’t acquit him.
